Photography can take a heavy toll on our planet, from the chemicals used in many common photographic processes, to the rare earths and minerals that make modern cameras work. Too often photographers, even those working on environmental issues, turn a blind eye to this or consider it someone elses problem to sort out. I disagree.

While it would be overly restrictive to completely extricate oneself from these environmentally damaging practices, I try in various ways to minimise the environmental footprint of my practice. In terms of orders through this online shop, that means that all my products are shipped wrapped in recycled paper or wood shred packing rather than materials like polystyrene or bubble wrap. Where available I also use recycled packaging materials to ship things out. I also redirect a percentage of profits from sales here to an urban tree planting fund.

If any of the above is a problem for you, take your business elsewhere 🌞
